Nope, I watched the scene, and you can see a car drive by and more people outside. |

Looking at those screencaps, I'm wondering if this might have been a house dressed up to look like a store??? |

Does anyone know where they filmed the scene in the men's clothing store where Crockett and Tubbs meet Vanessa? Bal Harbour Shops? Likely a needle in a haystack.

The thing about the Izzy scene that confounded me is that it starts at
800 Brickell, a considerable way from the Govt. Center. I always
thought that C&T chase Izzy into the 800 Brickell building and have
been down there to check it out, to no avail of course.
Having just watched that scene again, I noticed that C&T don't actually run into the 800 building, rather they run off screen to the right. Man they must have chased Izzy a half a mile or more to end up at the Gov't Center! But they lef the Daytona in the middle of the street at 8th & Brickell! I know police vehicles tend to have certain parking priviledges, but isn't this a bit extreme? ![]() |

ps: be secretive with your photography if you go . There is alot of security there and I don't think they like people taking pictures inside a govt. building for some reason. If you look around and plan your shots in advance you can get away with it and not get picked up on any of the surviellence cameras.

I was in the area location hunting today and decided to stop by and check out boa knight center area to find this location. I looked for a while and could not find the right set up even though size was good and had escalators enough they were not just right. I went to boa lobby and talked to the security gaurd and showed him the scene. He said knight convention center so back I went third try. No luck so I talked to a guy moping the floors and after viewing it he said wachovia bank building so often I went all happy till I got there and it did not match up. There I encountered a security person and she was on the ball. When I showed her the video she knew where it was. Not to fall into the same trap I pointed out the windows in a bg building and showed her how they looked like a church setup. She said yeah thats the historic miami library you are seeing and its govt center you want so off I went. Bingo we have sussed out another location.....

The interior is so vast. It's hard to think of any other building that large. I was looking at background buildings visible through the windows, but I couldn't match anything. |

the link provided by airtommy contains everything we need to know. it says that the Bank of America tower has the only upper level metro station (Knight Center) and was built between 1984 and 1986 and opened in Feb87. It is in fact the Metro Mover Station Knight Center at 100 SE 2 Street, Miami where they filmed the teaser with Izzy hiding underneath the escalator plates as you can see that Crockett/Tubbs have to climb up several stories/elevators to grab him.

Interesting idea . There is deff. what looks like a metro rail station in the building and it was under construction at the time. I have been in there a few times and have not seen anything that looks like the lobby where they run in but it is deff. worth another look. I notice at one point distinct arched windows (3) and roof line that makes me think I am looking at a church out the window. I have not been able to figure this location out despite the lobby being so unique and large.

Around 1:25, there's a green sign on the left side of the screen. What does it say? I'm starting to wonder if perhaps they filmed this scene in the Bank of America Tower at International Place. Maybe that green sign is for the Metromover? |

I Trivia question: When the race organizers call for Crockett's boat but he isn't there, where is he? It's a familiar part of Miami. They thought they had more time so they ran the boat up north and had been checking out some hotels up north where they could set up a sting operation for some crooked cops. They realized it was getting late and headed south we joined them on camera as they blew under the william lehman causeway in aventura with turnberry in the bg |

Airtommy,
You wrote: "Trivia question: When the race organizers call for Crockett's boat but he isn't there, where is he? It's a familiar part of Miami." I would guess that the race starters boat is in the Bay right off the waterfront house on Key Biscayne, 485 W.Matheson Drive. Still looking for the spot where Crocket's boat first appears. I have checked all the bridges with GE and Virtual Earth and nothing seems to match. |
