Thanks to this thread I discovered the tracks, named after the episodes Heart of Darkness and Made for Each Other. There's more of an obvious Jan Hammer synth sound in Made For each Other.

This didn't get much publicity. I find it weird that I never knew about it.

Great edit and zac!  Just what I needed on a nice spring day here in Chicago.
Stan: "Well, it's too big for Chinese takeout. I'd say it's a body bag, Lar."
Sonny: "How'd you know all that?" Tubbs: "Night school. There's life after Vice."

I like the guitar sound in the middle...but mostly I like the action scenes from Miami vice.

That's really a great track! Moreover, the video (including its cut) is awesome also.

I think I can really hear "acoustic allusions" (no idea if that term exists in English ) to the sound style of Miami Vice.

I just discovered this today through twitter....
It is a track by Junkie XL (pretty famous dutch dj who works and lives in the US)

And as it turns out, they made an entire EP together called....... Fairlight...

The composition doesnt sound like it was being done by Jan but you will recocnize the playing :)
