Awesome stuff - thank you for the memories.
I worked for McBurnie from 86-87 - left four weeks before the crazy guy with the gun and gasoline burned the cars still in production. One of the best gigs I ever had!

check it out! There is some low life selling this material on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=400028603812 I reported him the last time and ebay removed it. I reported him again and I am sure they will remove it again. This guy is in need of money that bad that he has to rip off MV fans. Drop him an email and let him know how you guys and girls feel. |

I'd rather be in the driver's seat ...in a car like yours. I wanna be you. (Nobody paid me to say that)

I PMed him to let him know just that. This is absolutely NOT the car from the show, and it also didn't have the interior installed!! Just a shell.
It wasn't even there the first night due to heavy rain and it was being shipped from southern California. Quite frankly, it was a major, MAJOR rip off, and false advertising. |

That is not the car from MV! The Daytona had two square headlights and no Ferrari horse in the grill.

Hello - I know this is an old post, but I just ran across it and had a question. When was this "Luxury on Wheels" automotive exhibition in Sacramento that had the "original" car from MIAMI VICE? Was this a long time ago, or more recently? Do you remember what the flowers on the hood were for (in the photos) - i.e. did it win some kind of prize or something?

I think it's a body shop too.
I looked it up at one time. It's on the other end of the state from me. Supposedly he has/had one from the show, in the back of his shop. The engine was out of it, and the car was just gathering dust. |

I know. I was asking if this "Roberts motor cars" was a company that built both Daytona and Testarossa replicas, but thanks for the reply!

Actually no...It was NOT a replica but the real thing! Ferrari donated two of them to the show for use. They were black but painted white so it would show up at night during filming night scenes. There are other threads here devoted to that so search around and have fun reading. |

How 'bout "The Miami Coupe"?. Was that a replica Testarossa?.

WOW!
Just went throught this entire thread again and viewed all the pictures. All these Daytonas and not one to be had ............... I would gladly trade my boat (Stinger260) for one if I could find one at a reasonable price! |

Sorry guys I don't believe that shop is open. In fact I can't even remember it ever being open??? The shop on the corner has been a body shop for a number of years and under numerous names and owners, but is not there presently? I can't remember a Klassens and I have lived in Niagara for almost thirty years! (my bodyshop was just down the street about a hundred yards back in the 80's) |
